Baggage Through Check

Baggage Through Check

Passengers travelling on Air China-operated flights from Americas/Europe/Oceania to China via Beijing can request for baggage to be checked through to the final destination. To use this service, passengers must sign and tick the declaration on baggage tags during check-in to entrust Air China to open and inspect baggage at Beijing if reqired by the Customs. (This service is not available on Air China codeshare flights operated by other international airlines.)

Checked-through baggage is subject to customs spot checks. With the declaration of the passengers, Air China will help airport customs to open and inspect baggage on behalf of passengers if required. After arriving at Beijing Capital International Airport, passengers do not need to claim their baggage and can proceed directly through immigration. They can then wait for their connecting domestic flight in the transfer hall.

Passengers should not pack prohibited items in their checked baggage. Click here to view a list of items that are prohibited from carriage.
